introducing anyone to olive was always a little scary for tommy - but especially introducing them. they meant a lot to him. and he hadn’t wanted to do something to mess that up. he hadn’t even told them that he was a dad until about a week ago. the first hurdle was overcome. now he just had to make sure that the interaction between them and his daughter went down well. he wasn’t sure what he would do if it didn’t. “olive, this is my very special friend. what do we say?” he asked the little girl, who - instead of saying anything - waved over to them, “Sorry. she can be a little shy sometimes..”
